Legal English
This course, which is taught fully in English, deals with the study of and practice
with the peculiar features of legal English, including its pronunciation. It also analyses
the sources of legal vocabulary in English, in particular in the European Union.
Legal experts will focus on areas such as cross-border cooperation in civil and criminal
matters or cross-border mediation in family matters, with a special emphasis on the
European Union. The course is aimed at any law- or language-related professionals or
students of any related areas who wish to improve their level of legal English.
The aim of the course is to train professionals in legal English, both in the field of law (magistrates, prosecutors, lawyers, solicitors, notaries, mediators, justice administration staff, etc.) and language (philologists, translators, interpreters, terminologists, revisers, etc.).
